Today is my first day working at 299 Park Ave. I actually been there several times, and I had my interview at 299. I have to transfer from the N train to the 6 train at 14th St and get off at 51st Lexington to get there. Then I have to walk 2 blocks and 1 avenue to get there. I definitely miss the underground concourse at 1285. It gets me to work right from the train station. But Spring's here so I don't mind the walk.
I also have to get up an hour earlier because my schedule here is 8 - 4:30 instead of 9 - 5:30. I actually like this schedule better because when I get out of work, many places are still open (banks, etc.). When I get out at 5:30, I have to rush to the bank because they close at 6PM.
BTW, talking about banks. I passed by the ING Direct Cafe last week. I couldn't go in because it was closed (closes at 6PM, I just missed it.) I will probably head there today as my new schedule should give me more time to check it out.
